Manchester United have rejected Real Madrid’s bid for superstar midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, deeming the Los Blancos offer not enough. The La Liga giants are the top suitors for the Frenchman this summer, with Juventus a close second after Pogba announced that it’s time for him to leave.

Real Madrid may have decided Paul Pogba’s future, after their derisory bid for the Frenchman was rejected by Manchester United. The Los Blancos reportedly offered James Rodriguez plus £27 million for the Frenchman, which was immediately rejected by the Red Devils reports the Times. It further adds that the La Liga giants cannot come any close to the £150 million that United are asking for.

Real Madrid’s main issue is the fact that they’ve already spent in excess of £250 million so far this summer and will need to offload a few players to fund Pogba’s move. That would mean getting rid of Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Mariano Diaz and even Isco Alarcon off their wage bill.

But having rejected a move for Gareth Bale last week, the only and possible best prospect for an influx of cash is Rodriguez. The Colombian has been heavily linked with a move to either Atletico Madrid or Napoli, but neither club has made a concrete approach for the 28-year-old.

That has caused more problems than it solves for Real Madrid, with Zinedine Zidane adamant to bring in his top target. However, with a move for Donny Van de Beek close to fruition, it could change things for both Manchester United and Real Madrid.
