Reports | Renato Sanches unhappy with lack of game time at Bayern Munich

Renato Sanches is demanding a move away from German champions Bayern Munich this summer. The Portuguese international only started five Bundesliga games last season, and he believes that a lack of game-time will only worsen with the arrivals of Michael Cuisance and Philippe Coutinho

Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches has re-iterated his desire to leave Bayern Munich this summer reports the Daily Mail, with the 22-year-old struggling to get game-time amid a myriad of options for Niko Kovac. Sanches who joined Bayern in 2016 from Benfica, has struggled to make an impact despite showing a lot of promise with the Liga Nos side and has now thrown his future at the club into doubt.

The former Benfica man came off the bench and managed only final five minutes of Bayern's opening match of the 2019/20 campaign, which has not pleased the 22-year-old with him even going on to say as much, after the game.

“Five minutes is not enough. The situation is not good for me, this is the second time I have wanted to leave the club and they have not let me go,” he told Sport1 after the match.

It also saw Bayern’s chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hit back at the 22-year-old, downplaying that the Portuguese international will get any move away from the club this summer.

"It is not appropriate that you run away so angry here after the first or second game. We will not sell him, that will not work, he would do well to calm down. I basically understand every player who is unhappy if he does not play from the beginning. That's all of us, that was Uli Hoeneß, I used to be," said Rummenigge during his post-match conference reported the Daily Mail.
