Seydou Doumbia and Wilfried Bony have emerged as targets for Inter Milan as the club look to get some cover for Romelu Lukaku. Having spent Ā£74m on the Belgian striker, Inter Milan are looking for cost-effective options and believe that the Ivory Coast centre-forwards are the perfect solution.

Having spent a large chunk of their transfer budget signing Romelu Lukaku, Inter Milan are now looking at potentially budget-friendly options to help the Belgian international over the course of a long season. They still have Mauro Icardi at the club and while the Argentine has taken the number 7, his future at the club is stillĀ uncertain amid a potential move to Juventus or even Napoli.

That does give the Nerazzurri a few problems, as it would leave them with just Lukaku and the talented, but still adapting, Lautaro Martinez. Itā€™s exactly why Inter were desperately hoping for a move for Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez to go through but negotiations are at a standstill. The Chilean's wages are the biggest problem for Inter Milan, and Manchester United want them to bear the full burden of said wages.

This has seen Calciomercato report that the Nerazzurri have now moved on to Seydou Doumbia and Wilfried Bony. The Italian news outlet have reported that the Ivory Coast forwards are now Antonio Conteā€™s top targets this summer, as they believe the free-agents will be effective alternatives to Lukaku. Both Bony and Doumbia are free-agents at the moment, having run out their contracts at Swansea City and Girona respectively.
