Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has been offered to Italian giants AC Milan amid reports linking Zlatan Ibrahimovic's move to his childhood club Rossoneri. The French striker has been barely used by the new Blues manager Frank Lampard and is ready to leave the club in search of more playing time.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Olivier Giroud has been offered to AC Milan after the France World Cup winner has not been a major part of Frank Lampard plans at Chelsea. Giroud has struggled to find playing minutes under Lampard and has been vocal about his frustrations over it. He has also threatened the club that he will leave Stamford Bridge if his playing time doesn’t increase.

AC Milan have been struggling in the Serie A and are 11th on the league table. The Rossoneri’s major problems this season has been goal scoring and the goal-scoring rate. Milan have only scored 13 goals in 14 games despite having quality strikers in their team.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also been linked with a move to the San Siro after leaving MLS side LA Galaxy. Zlatan who currently is a free agent has been contacted by several teams but he is open to returning to one of his former clubs. The Swedish international remains the absolute priority for AC Milan, who have struggled overall at the start of the season, but especially in the attack. January, therefore, will be their big chance to try and turn things around.

Giroud is currently behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order. The former Arsenal striker wants to leave the Blues in January as the Euros will take place next summer, and he will need to be match fit. The 33-year-old has also been linked to Milan’s city rivals Inter, but a move remains unlikely especially when Inter have Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez firing on all cylinders.
