Mumbai City FC coach, Jorge Costa, believes his side are ready for the task against FC Goa whom they face in the in the first leg of the Hero ISL semi-final on Saturday in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Jesus Tato backed his side to come through as they on the high-flying Islanders away from home.

Mumbai City FC will hope that they live up to their fans expectations as they gear up to take on FC Goa at the Mumbai Football Arena. The Islanders will hope to secure a positive result to take into the second leg that will be played in Goa next week. Home team coach, Jorge Costa, was highly optimistic that his side is up to the task ahead of tonight’s crucial encounter on home soil.

"The mood in our camp is very good. We are excited for Saturday. It's an exciting encounter for us and we are ready for the semi-final. We have to see the reality, we've lost two games against FC Goa. I hope there'll be a different story tomorrow and we'll look to change the result.

"This is not a league game, we've got two games (home and away). This is like the Champions League. Honestly, we will definitely have a different game tomorrow. The players have worked hard like always and we are very focussed. We want a lot more and that means playing the Hero ISL final. It won't be easy but that's our next target. The team that makes less mistakes will play the final. It'll be a good game tomorrow,” Costa said at the pre-match press conference.

Meanwhile, away team assistant coach Jesus Tato was present in the absence of Sergio Lobera to address the press. Tato was careful so as to not give out any crucial information regarding the starting XI but claimed that his side were determined to go all the way this season.

“I don’t want to give you guys any hint yet. As of now I can tell you that all our players are fit and available. We have multiple options and we consider Mumbai as a great squad. So, I don’t want to give Mumbai any extra information.

“It is something we have spoken about inside the dressing room. We know that was during the league stage. But now it is a completely different story. We are in the semi-finals now. With 180 minutes, it will be very tough. The little details will count and make the difference. We have to leave what happened in the league stages and focus on this,” Tato added.
