Robin Gurung has signed a one-year contract extension with the Indian Super League club Jamshedpur FC and he will be a part of the squad in the sixth season of the league. Gurung, who will be playing for JFC in the third season on the trot, has said that Jamshedpur has been his second home.

After making 13 appearances for the Jamshedpur side in the last edition of the Indian Super League, Robin Gurung has been kept again by the Red Miners for the sixth season. The 26-year-old right back has signed a one-year contract extension with the football club owned by Tata Steel. Gurung expressed his happiness to continue his association with the team in the league and the city as well saying that Jamshedpur has been his second home.

"I am extremely happy to continue my journey with Jamshedpur FC. Jamshedpur has been my second home and I am really fond of the city and its people. It’s been an absolute honour to wear the badge of JFC for the last two seasons and I am looking forward to bringing a lot of joy to our fans. The management has been very supportive, and I am looking to start afresh this season. The dream is to win the Hero ISL with Jamshedpur FC," Gurung told JFC website.

Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari also praised the youngster for his dedication and commitment towards the JFC side and wished him the best for the 2019-20 season of the Indian Super League.

"Robin has had an outstanding season with us, his dedication and commitment towards the team has set an example for everyone. I am happy he has decided to continue the journey which strengthens our defensive unit more. I wish him the best for the upcoming season," mentioned Choudhari.
