Juventus director Fabio Paratici has made intentions clear that the club is not interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic in the January transfer window. The Croatian has long been linked to various clubs as he seeks more playing time and a move away from the Spanish champions.

Juventus have been linked to Ivan Rakitic in the past and were close to launching an offer for the midfielder in the summer transfer window. The Croatian has been restricted to a very limited role this season despite being an undisputable starter for Barcelona last season. Frenkie De Jong has taken over Rakitic’s starting spot which has now forced the former Sevilla midfielder to look for new clubs. However, Juventus director of football Fabio Paratici has made it clear that Juventus are no longer interested in signing the 31 year old, as reported by ESPN.

The Croatia international continues to search for new clubs and despite Juve being out of the equation, there are a number of clubs interested. Antonio Conte is keen to bring Rakitic to Inter whereas the midfielder has also been linked to clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Paratici insisted that his side is complete and doesn’t need any January reinforcements. The Old Lady recorded a 1-0 victory against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League courtesy of Paulo Dybala’s free-kick goal. Rakitic has managed to play only 288 minutes of football this season. He is desperate to kickstart his career again and is open to moving away from the Nou Camp. Rakitic joined Barcelona in 2014 for £25 million and has gone onto play 279 games for the Spanish club. The 31 year old has also managed to score 34 goals and provide 38 assists during his time at the club.
