Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are set to cash in on one of their top-performing stars Kai Havertz, with a Ā£90 million tag set on the midfielder. Both Manchester United and Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the Germany's next big thing and next summer could see a battle break out.

According to the Daily Express, suitors of his talent will have to shell out Ā£90 million. United remain interested in Havertz but they could even opt to go for another sensation of the Bundesliga- Jadon Sancho. United will go for Sancho which will provide cash to Dortmund to sign Havertz. The 20-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from England, with both the Manchester clubs and Liverpool monitoring his development.

Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with a move, with reports from Germany indicating that the Bundesliga giants have already made contact for the young midfielder, as they do not want to let Havertz leave Germany. The German starlet does have a contract with Leverkusen until 2022, but its believed that the club is ready to cash in on the youngster.Ā German publication Kicker has also reported that Dortmund are serious contenders for Havertz and will try everything possible to beat Bayern, who have also been heavily linked with a move, for his signature.Ā Ā

As far as his performances are concerned, Havertz has been exceptional on the pitch.Ā The 20-year-old scored 17 Bundesliga goals last season, becoming one of the few teenagers in the league to score that many, and already has one under his belt so far this season.Ā  However, in an interview with Sportbuzzer, Havertz went on to say that he is more than happy to stay at Leverkusen for another year and has no idea what will happen in the near future, which has further sparked transfer rumours.
