World Hockey League Semi Finals | Indian women go down 0-3 to Argentina
India were beaten 0-3 by Argentina on day 9 of the World Hockey League Semi- Finals in Johannesburg. The defeat meant that the Indian eves finished second in Pool B, behind Argentina who claimed top-spot. The ongoing event is also a qualification tournament for next year's World Cup in India.
Defeat for the USA in the third match of the day meant that Argentina (WR: 3) went into their final Pool B match against India (WR: 12) knowing that they were already certain of a first placed finish. But it made little difference to their approach, as Las Leonas produced another excellent display to claim a 3-0 triumph over Indiaās Eves.Ā
