PKL 2017 | Bengaluru Bulls set to debut in Nagpur

Bengaluru Bulls will play their second match of the season at the Mankapur Indoor Stadium in Nagpur on August 4th which would mark their debut in their new home city. Bulls' skipper Rohit Kumar expressed his excitement at playing in Nagpur and called it the team's home away from home.

The young and energetic squad of Bengaluru Bulls will play their second match of the season at Nagpur’s Mankapur Indoor Stadium on 4th August. With this match, they mark the debut of their home matches in the city that will be played until 10th August. Bengaluru Bulls announced the initiation of the much- awaited field of action in Nagpur today in the presence of Uday Sinh Wala, CEO of WL Sports League, Coach Randhir Singh, seasoned and rising star players from the team- Rohit Kumar (Captain), Ravinder Pahal (Vice Captain) and Ashish Kumar.

Mankapur Indoor Stadium, the home venue for this season will witness a highly motivated team of players who have displayed brilliance at various national level Kabaddi tournaments and a seasoned lot who come with a commendable track record.

The Bengaluru Bulls dynamic team includes players like Harish Naik, Rohit, Gurvinder Singh, Ankit Sangwan, Mahender Singh, Preetam Chhillar, Ravinder Pahal (VC), Amit, Rohit Kumar (C), Ashish Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Amit Sheoran, Sinotharan Kanesharajah, Pardeep, Ajay Kumar, Sunil, Sumit, Sanjay Shrestha, and Kuldeep Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Uday Sinh Wala, CEO of WL Sports League said, “Though we will not be able to play on our home turf this season, we are positive that Nagpur will be our home away from home. We are optimistic about this season. With a balanced mix of young & talented players and an experienced lot, we look forward to making a mark in the tournament and the team looks strong under the guidance of our coach. I am sure the team will do well this season.  We look forward to support from Nagpur as we embark on a new journey this season.”

Expressing his excitement, Rohit Kumar, Captain of Bengaluru Bulls said, “We are very humbled with the love and the immeasurable support that we have received so far. Though the team was disappointed about not being able to perform in front of our supporters back home, we are looking forward to winning hearts in Nagpur, our home away from home this season. We have undergone intensive training over the last 35 days and we are striving towards lifting the cup in this season.”
