An all round second half performance from Gujarat Fortunegiants helped them manage a stunning comeback in the second half as they edged Bengaluru Bulls 27-24 in a thrilling contest in Ahmadabad. Rohit Kumar managed to score seven points for Bengaluru, but it wasn't enough for his side in the end.

In a thrilling contest, Gujarat Fortunegiants produced a terrific second half performance to beat Bengaluru Bulls in Inter Zone Challenge match. With both teams being the table toppers of their respective zones, they looked to stamp their dominance over the tournament with a win over their counterparts. And it was a team performance by Gujarat which laid their foundations of their victory. After the first half, Gujarat looked dead and buried but came back strongly to win the match.Rohit Kumar scored seven points for Bengaluru Bulls but it wasn’t enough. 

Both teams opened their account in the third minute as the score was 1-1. Bengaluru Bulls led 4-2 after six minutes. Gujarat were struggling to get a foothold in the game as for the first 10 minutes they couldn’t get any points. Bengaluru Bulls led 7-2 in the 11th minute as they reduced Gujarat to just two men. Bengaluru Bulls inflicted the first all out of the match in the 12th minute to lead 11-3.

Gujarat Fortunegiants came back as they scored three quick points in two minutes to trail 6-12. Bengaluru Bulls came back strongly as they reduced the deficit t o just four points in the 18th minute. But Gujarat scored two points in a minute to end the first half leading 14-9. 

Rohit Gulia scored a raid point and reduced Bengaluru Bulls to just two men as Gujarat trailed 10-14. Bengaluru Bulls responded with a super tackle in the 22nd minute to lead 16-10. Rohit Kumar scored with a two-point raid in the 24th minute to give Bengaluru Bulls 18-10 lead. Kuldeep Singh attained a high five for Bengaluru in the 25th minute. 

Gujarat forced a super tackle in the 26th minute to reduce the lead to seven points. Another super tackle by Gujarat in the 29th minute made the deficit to just six points as Bengaluru Bulls 20-15. It was Gujarat’s defence which gave them a fighting chance in the match. A two-point raid by Mahendra Rajput in the 32nd minute to reduce the lead to just two points.Gujarat inflicted an all out in the next minute to level the match at 21-21. Gujarat led for the first time in the match in the 34th minute. The Fortunegiants continued their onslaught as they led 24-21 with less than five minutes to go. 

Bengaluru Bulls scored three points in a minute to level the match at 24-24 after 37 minutes. Mahendra Rajput scored a raid point in the 39th minute to give Gujarat 25-24 lead. Bengaluru Bulls failed with a review and gave Gujarat a two-point lead in the 39th minute. Another tackle point by Gujarat in the dying seconds of the match gave them a 27-24 win.
