In the Interzone encounter between Gujarat Fortunegiants and Telugu Titans, Gujarat won the toss and invited the Titans to raid first. After two rounds of empty raids from the both side, Vikas opened the Titans’ account as he earned two points in a single attempt. Sachin also opened the tally for Gujarat and skipper Sukesh Hegde added a bonus point which helped to level the score at 2-2. Sachin doubled the score for Gujarat as he successfully sent two Titans players out of the game with a brilliant raid that needed to be referred. Vikas tried to reduce the margin as he got one point but the Fortunegiants skipper’s one point helped his team to maintain the lead 5-3. Sachin completed a successful raid and they sent Nilesh Salunke out of the game through a tackle. Sukesh Hegde showed his worth again as he brilliantly scored three points through Super Raid and inflicted the first all-out of the game with the scoreboard reading 12-3. 

Telugu Titans continued the struggle even after the full set of players were restored as they lost two players in the very first raid. To complicate things even further Rahul Chaudhari was one of the players to make his way back to the bench. In a bid to get some points back onto the board, the Titans introduced Vinoth Kumar in the match and it proved to be the right decision as he grabbed two points from his first raid, saving his team from a second all-out, but the Titans were still trailing 15-6. Gujarat, though, ensured that Titans star raider spent his maximum time out of the game and as they ended the half with a commanding 20-7 lead.

Rohit Gulia’s unsuccessful raid helped the Titans to earn the first point at the start of the second half and with Vinoth adding one bonus point to the tally, the score reached at 20-9 in the favour of the Gujarat. After two empty raids, Gujarat faced do or die raid where Sachin, yet again, scored for his team. Rahul Chaudhari earned his first point of the game during a do or die raid as the scorecard read 21-10. The away team managed to grab the exceptional Sachin and sent him out of the game but on the other side, Fazel tackled Rahul Chaudhari keep Gujarat’s 11 point lead intact. The hosts’ brilliant defence made sure the Titans were given no quarter as Abozar’s ankle hold sent Munish out of the game.
