Telugu Titans have been a true enigma this year. After starting the season with six wins in seven games, they lost their way through the middle. With their home leg still left, most fans would have been confident that the side would be able to turn it around and seal a place in the playoffs at home. And they started off on the right note with two back to back wins over Jaipur and Haryana. However, yesterday’s loss to UP seems to put a dent into their playoff aspirations and they would now need to beat the best team in the Zone to keep the pressure on Bengal. While their defense looks like it is back to the very best, it is their raiding unit that would keep their fans up at night. Rahul Chaudhari has not been able to live upto the “Poster Boy” image and has been struggling for points. Nilesh Salunke might have done better in the home leg but he was a mere spectator when the UP defence dominated his side yesterday. 

If there is ever a clash between two completely different ideologies, it is this game. Bengaluru have forsaken the idea of defending and with the likes of Pawan Sehrawat, Rohit Kumar and Kashiling Adake, they just bulldoze through teams with their raiding prowess. But when they go up against the defensive might of the Titans, it will be a case of who can hold their nerves the longest because, by the looks of the Bengaluru defence, it is not unbelievable that even Rahul Chaudhari might score a Super 10.
