As the season started, it became evidently clear that Jaipur Pink Panthers were in for a rough ride as they failed to impress in any of their games. Even now, the table looks bleak for them as a single slip-up would see Dabang Delhi get the final playoff spot from Zone A. However, there have been some positives as the season has progressed for the Pink Panthers, particularly the decision to use Deepak Hooda as a raider. With Ajinkya Powar and Sandeep Dhul also stepping up, they could be a force to be reckoned with next year. But for today, they would want to start off their home leg with all five points to keep some pressure on Dabang Delhi.

The most lopsided team in the PKL. They started off extremely well and were the only team that were putting pressure on U Mumba. That was due to the raiding genius that is Nitin Tomar, who raced away to a 100 raid points for the season on a canter. However, once he went down, it was all downhill as the rest of the raiding contingent couldn’t live upto the standard. Now, that they are mathematically out of the running for a playoff spot, they would want to take the Pink Panthers with them. Another major angle to look out for today is the battle between Girish Ernak and Deepak as two of India’s best go head to head in the first clash of the day.
