Siddharth Desai, Raider, U Mumba – 211 raid points from 20 matches
Siddharth Desai is clearly the find of the 2018 edition of PKL as he has been one of the finest
Sunil Kumar, Right Cover Defender, Gujarat Fortunegiants– 69 tackle points from 22 matches
Sunil Kumar doesn’t have a great average as far as the tackle points are concerned as the Gujarat skipper has scored only 69 points from all the 22 matches that he has played in the league stage. In spite of that, he is arguably the best right cover defender in the league as Surender Singh has been really rash with his tackle attempts at the same position for U Mumba. Sunil has been more effective with the combination tackles along with Parvesh Bhainswal in the Gujarat camp. The Gujarat skipper has four Super Tackles and three High 5s in the season and has been instrumental in Gujarat’s success this year.

Like his cousin Sunil Kumar, Parvesh has been the other star in the Gujarat defence and their chain tackles have been really effective for the last year’s runners-up team in the ongoing season of the Pro Kabaddi League. Parvesh has 81 points from 22 matches and is the most important cog in Gujarat’s defence along with Sunil and Ruturaj Koravi. Parvesh has been effective in both blocks and dash against the opponent raiders. The 21-year-old has a strike rate of 62.09% in the tackles with four Super Tackles and five High 5s in the 2018 edition of PKL. He is at the second position of the Best Defender list in the current season.
Sachin Tanwar, Raider, Gujarat Fortunegiants –161 points 20 from matches
With a strong defensive unit, Gujarat coach Manpreet Singh always wanted a proper raider to step up for them this year and Sachin was the answer for the team management. His numbers will not give you the clearer picture of his performance as Gujarat also has others like K Prapanjan, Rohit Gulia, Ajay Chahal and Mahendra Ganesh Rajpoot but, Sachin has been very effective in taking Gujarat to the top of the Zone A points table this season. He is currently at the eighth position of the Top Raiders list with a total of 161 points from 20 matches. The 19-year-old raider’s not out
Pawan Sehrawat, Raider, Bengaluru Bulls – 236 raid points from 22 matches
© PKLDespite making his debut in PKL in the third season, Pawan came to limelight only in the sixth edition when he was used more for the raids during the initial phase of the tournament. With players like Rohit Kumar and Kashiling Adake in the side, Pawan is their best raider and he also has the maximum points in the league as well. Apart from his 236 raid points, he also has 11 tackle points as well which makes him a utility player in the Bengaluru side. His 10 Super Raids prove his effectiveness in getting multiple points in a single raid. He announced himself in the current edition from Bengaluru’s very first game against Tamil Thalaivas where he scored twenty points in just over 20 minutes. From then on, he has just gone from strength to strength.
Nitesh Kumar, Right Corner Defender, UP Yoddha – 83 tackle points from 22 matches
To everyone’s surprise, UP Yoddha are in the playoffs as they came out of nowhere to become the third team from Zone B by overtaking Patna Pirates and Telugu Titans. One of the reasons for their success in the last few games is Nitesh Kumar’s strong ankle holds at the right corner position. Nitesh has many as 83 tackle points to his name from 22 games and in the must-win last game against Bengal Warriors yesterday, he scored six. He also played an important role by picking up three points in the previous game against U Mumba which they managed to win. He has a tackle strike rate of 58.46 and seven Super Tackles this season. Nitesh is leading the tables as far as the tackle points are concerned and will easily walk into the combined seven
Fazel Atrachali (Captain), Left Corner Defender, U Mumba – 79 tackle points from 22 matches
The skipper of U Mumba has led the team from the front and has been exceptional as always in the team’s defence. Apart from going for a few rash tackles or advance tackles, the Iranian has always been the most dangerous defender for almost all the opposition raiders. Fazel has played a good supporting role for other defenders as well and pretty much like most of the corner defenders, the Iranian’s strong ankle hold has been his most effective weapon. With a strike rate of 61.29% and an average of 3.45 tackles per match, Fazel is at the third position on the most tackle points list.
