On the third day of the inaugural edition of the Indo-International Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL), Pondicherry Predators won against Haryana Heros by a huge margin of 52-28. In the second game of the evening, Pune Pride registered their second win of the tournament by beating Bangalore Rhinos.

The team from the kabaddi heartland of India – Haryana is going through a terrible phase in the initial phase of the league as they lost their second game of the tournament on Wednesday. The team from Pondicherry started the game on a dominating note and the first 10 minutes belonged completely to the team from the southern part of the country. After the first two quarters, the Predators were leading by 30-10 points against the Heros.

Although after the half-time, the Heros tried their level best to make a comeback in the game with some good raids and strong tackles in the third quarter, it was not enough for them to ensure a win. Haryana Heros failed to impress with their show in the last 10 minutes and eventually lost the game by a huge margin of 52-28. Mohit Jhakar’s wonderful tackles ensured the Player of the Match award for him.

On the other hand, with the second win in front of the home crowd, Pune Pride have gone to the top of the points table in Zone A. Pune got the better of Bangalore Rhinos by 32-29 points in a close game on Wednesday. It was Bangalore Rhinos who started the game on a great note as they had managed to gather 12 points at the end of the first quarter and had given away just one. However, the home team made a brilliant comeback after that to make it 18-14 at half-time in Bengaluru’s favour.

The second half completely belonged to Pune as they asserted full control on the mat to ensure that they take the game away in the last 10 minutes of match from Bengaluru’s grip. Arumugam was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant show in the raiding department.
