Many of Pardeep Narwalā€™s records were broken in this season by Naveen Kumar and Pawan Sehrawat but no one could pick six points in a single raid that Pardeep Narwal had done against Haryana Steelers. However, it was the Patna skipper himself, who equalled that against Bengal warriors last evening.

Patna Pirates were playing their last game of the season against Bengal Warriors yesterday and the official broadcasters also branded the match as the last game for Pardeep in season 7. The Patna skipper didnā€™t disappoint his fans, as well as the broadcasters, as he ripped apart the inexperienced Bengal defence, which only had Baldev Singh, collecting as many as 34 raid points. Apart from that he also collected two points for a super tackle and helped the Pirates thrash Bengal by a huge margin of 69-41.

However, the best moment of the game came in the second half, when the ā€˜Dubki Kingā€™ managed to get six points in a single raid to clear the Warriors team once again. There were all seven Bengal players after they had inflicted an all-out and Pardeep went for the raid. The skipper of the Warriors for the evening, Baldev, first tried an ankle hold at the left corner and Pardeep managed to come out of that. Seeing this, Viraj Vishnu Landge and Taghi Mahali came in for a block and others also joined them with a target of stopping Pardeep from returning safe. However, he managed to sneak his foot from in between all these players and got back safe and the officials awarded five points to him.

However, the action didnā€™t end there. Bengal were unhappy with the decision of the officials and challengedĀ it stating that the raider was tackled. The replays were clear enough and Pardeep was declared safe but the TV umpire also figured out that there was one touch more. The decision was changed yet again and one more raid point was added to Pardeepā€™s tally making that a ā€œSuper se bhi upar raidā€ with six points.

Earlier in his PKL career, Pardeep had picked up six points in the fifth season against the franchise from his home state - Haryana Steelers. Pardeep ended the game with 36 total points which include two points for a super tackle as well. With the breathtaking performance against the neighbouring team Bengal, Pardeep also got to the 300-point mark in season 7. In total, 110 points were scored in the game and that was another record in the PKL history. So, it was overall a game of records as Patna Pirates ended the season with a dominating performance against the Warriors.Ā
