Telugu Titans failed to make an impact this season and even lost the last match despite the lead so they will hope to end the season on a positive note. Smartplay helped UP Yoddha win their last match and so they are expected to test their bench strength in their last two home games.
The Titans despite having an eight-point lead at the halftime lost by 10 points because the players relaxed and lost focus in the second half, especially the defence. They received three all-outs in the second half alone, Siddharth Desai who was their top scorer twice before getting his first points in the second half and he sat out for long stretches of time. Telugu has faced issues similar to this the whole season and they would hope to not repeat those mistakes in this match.Â
This is the third home game for the Yoddha and they won the first two they have a fair chance of equalling Delhi for best win record in this season which is four out of four wins. Though that might not be the biggest possibility if coach Jasveer Singh decides to test his bench strength and give the main players rest before the playoffs. In their last match, they allowed the other team to make a small comeback so they will be mindful of these things in today’s match.
