While praising Mohammed Nabibakhsh performance in last night's match against Bengaluru Bulls, Bengal Warriors' coach BC Ramesh said that the Iranian is a versatile player who can turn the match around at any point of time. Bengal Warriors ended their home leg unbeaten with one tie and 3 wins.

Bengal Warriors ended their home leg on a high by winning their last match in the last minute by 2 points. Bengal started strong as skipper Maninder Singh started getting points from the word go. Bengal even reduced Bengaluru to three players but allowed them to escape an all-out thrice. Sumit got bonuses plus touch points when he was the last raider standing and so when the all-out was finally inflicted, Bengal led by a single point. Mohammed Nabibakhsh played a crucial role in the team's win with 6 tackle and 3 raid points and was instrumental in keeping Pawan Sehrawat off the mat for as long as possible.

"We put four raiders in; K. Prapanjan, Sukesh Hegde, Maninder Singh and Mohammed Nabibakhsh. Nabibakhsh can play defence as well. And we had these three raiders, so one of them is bound to get us points. If one gets out, I don't get worried. Nabibakhsh is a kind of a player who can turn the match around at any time. He will get points against the top players" Bengal Warriors coach BC Ramesh said in the post-match press conference.

In the raiding department once again Maninder Singh shined bright with 17 points in 22 raid attempts. He made a series of raids towards the end and he scored crucial points, the most important of which was the 3 point super raid when there were only 3 minutes left for the game to finish, the raid gave them an edge over Bengaluru.

"Our thinking was to win all matches, and barring that one tied match, we did it," coach said about the home leg.

In defense, Nabibakhsh was the top scorer with 6 tackle points, he frequently changed positions which confused the oppositions raiders. He tackled Pawan Sehrawat 5 times and he was the main reason why Pawan spend a long time off-court. He scored 3 crucial points while raiding as well and gave an all-around performance and emerged as a hero of the match.

"We thought about it last night that we will play Nabibakhsh in the Right Cover and Jeeva Kumar in the Left Cover and then we discussed it with the captain in the morning... Nabibakhsh is unique in his style of play. He doesn't really have a position, as he can play both the right and left cover positions" BC Ramesh signed off.
