With a total of 65 out of 75, Indian shooter Shagun Chowdhary was the best placed Indian female in trap shooting in the ongoing ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Changwon, Korea on Tuesday. Rajeshwari Kumari’s performance was not up to the mark as she could accumulate only 58 points yesterday.

Indian shooters didn’t have a great day at the office yesterday at the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in female trap shooting as Chowdhary was the best-placed Indian at the 34th position among 59 shooters in the category. With rounds of 21, 21 and 23, the Indian managed to gather a total of 65 points leading her to the 34th place.

On the other hand, Rajeshwari’s performance was even poorer as she could get 18, 24 and 16 in her three rounds of shooting and collected only 58 total points. With two more qualifying rounds to go, Rajeshwari is at the 56th position at the end of the day.

However, India had a massive jolt when the third Indian shooter in the category, Varsha Varman had to pull out from the trip owing to her ill health.

French shooter Carole Cormenier and China’s Wang Xiaojing are currently leading the table with 72 points out of 75 in three rounds of shooting on Tuesday.
