Indian men go down to Myanmar in Sepaktakraw Superseries finals

Indian men lost 0-2 to Myanmar on day two of the four-day International Sepaktakraw Federation (ISTAF) World Superseries Finals 2015 held in Nakhon Pathom province on Wednesday.

Myanmar, ranked fifth in the International Sepaktakraw Superseries, took just over 30 minutes to close the match out 17-21, 13-21, handing India their third loss in two days.

Earlier on Tuesday, in their meeting against the Philippines, India were beaten 21-17, 21-9 in 35 minutes. In the match against the hosts Thailand, which turned out to be a lop-sided contest, India crashed to a 21-6, 21-8 loss in just 23 minutes.

India finished at the bottom of the four-team Group A, from which Philippines and Thailand qualified for the semi-finals.
