In men’s trap,
After a failure in the team event, India’s women archers will be looking to redeem themselves in the individual event with Laxmirani Majhi in action today in the Round of 64 elimination. She will take on Alexandra Longová of Slovakia for a place in the last 32. If Laxmirani Majhi manages a win, then she will be again in action in the Round of 32
The men’s and women’s hockey team will also be in action today with the men’s team taking on 2012 Olympic champions Germany and the women’s team facing Great Britain. The men’s team had started their tournament with a 3-2 win over Ireland, while the women came back from a two-goal deficit to grab a draw against Japan.
The swimming pools at Rio will also see two Indians in action today. Sajan Prakash and Shivani Kataria will be representing India in the pool, however, they are not expected to win any medals.
