Gymnast Dipa Karmakar received a major psychological boost ahead of the 2016 Olympics after she was named a ‘Gymnaste de Classe Mondaile’ (World class gymnast) by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). The FIG decided to honour her after her stunning performance in the World Championships.
Dipa, who became the first Indian woman gymnast to qualify for the Olympics a few months ago, had finished fifth in her favourite vault event in the World artistic gymnastics championships at Glasgow in October last year. The Tripura
