Indian cyclist Esow Alben finished behind Konstantinos Livanos and Sam Gallagher as he secured the bronze medal in the men's Keirin event in Germany. The young and talented Indian is the top-ranked cyclist in both men's junior Keirin and men's junior Sprint categories at present.

Esow Alben and the rest of the Indian cycling team created history earlier this week after they became the first group to win gold in a global cycling competition. Esow, along with Ronaldo Singh and Rojit Singh, finished on top in the men's Team Sprint event. Just two days after that historic triumph, Esow bagged another medal as he won't bronze in the men's Keirin event in Germany.

The Andaman and Nicobar-born lad finished behind Greece's Konstantinos Livanos and Australia's Sam Gallagher to win gold at the ongoing event. Alben is currently the top-ranked cyclist in both men's junior Keirin and men's junior Sprint categories. The Indian team are at the top of team rankings in the two categories too.

Last year, Esow became the first cyclist from India to win a medal at the world stage as he won silver in the men's Keirin at the UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships held in Aigle, Switzerland.
