Rajasthan Cricket Association handed administrative power in Apex Council Meeting
The BCCI has handed administrative power to Rajasthan Cricket Association in the Apex Council Meeting at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. This means that the Rajasthan Cricket Association will function like any other cricket association and the team will not play as 'Team Rajasthan' with BCCI logo.
The handing over of administrative power to the Rajasthan Cricket Association in BCCI's Apex Council meeting means that from now Rajasthan Cricket Association will be able to function and make a decision like any other cricket association in the country.
āThe RCA issue related to hand over of operations was taken up and it was approved by the Apex Council,ā a senior BCCI functionary told Scroll.in.
āAfter this decision, RCA will function like any other cricket association and the state team will now operate under the aegis of the association,ā the official added.
After the appointment of BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, there also have been discussions about the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) electing a new selection panel. But sinceĀ the BCCI presidentĀ is currently out as he has an event to attend, the General Body Meeting will discuss the formation of the CAC on December 3 where Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman might be reinstated for the role.
