India's Harinder Pal Sandhu stormed into the final of the South Australian Open with a sparkling 11-9, 14-12, 7-11, 11-9 win over the top seed Piedro Schweertman of Netherlands in the semi-final. Earlier, Harinder beat Korea's Ko Youngjo to enter the semi-final of the tournament.

The third seed Indian, winner in his two previous outings in May, is on the threshold of annexing his eighth PSA title. Improving in strides ever since the quarter-final finish in the Asian Individuals held in Chennai in April, the former national champion raced to an early lead before conceding a game. But that was just an aberration as he downed the Dutch opponent in the decider to storm into the final, where he will play fourth seed Rhys Dowling of Australia.

Earlier, in the semi-final, the former Indian national champion needed just 28 minutes to complete his task with scores of 11-3, 11-3, 11-9. Harinder now gets ready to meet the top seed Piedro Schweertman of Netherlands in the last four.

The Maharashtra youngster, seeded 3/4 finished third in the boys U-13 category after losing to the top seed and eventual winner Joachim Chua of Malaysia 11-9, 5-11, 5-11, 7-11 in the semi-finals.

Now play Cricket, Football, Tennis, Badminton and Kabaddi - all in one go.
