Indian youngster Aditya Jagtap stunned everyone to clinch his maiden title of City View Open after entering the tournament as an aspirant through the qualifying stages. However, gradually he went on beating seeded players and eventually defeating Botswana’s Alister Walker 11-8, 11-5, 11-6.

Long Island (USA): Aditya Jagtap has done it, won his maiden PSA title here on Saturday. Keeping his focus intact, the Indian strode on to win the final of the City View Open, a PSA world tour event, beating fifth seed Alister Walker of Botswana in straight games 11-8, 11-5, 11-6 to make it a memorable outing overall.

What was significant about this win was that Aditya had started off as an aspirant via the qualifying phase. Beating seeded players enroute, he reached the title-round with fighting displays before finishing it off in style. This was Aditya's first PSA final.
