Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea lost to 3rd seeded pair of Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau 4-6, 6-7 in the final of the Mutua Madrid Open on Sunday. This is the second time the Dutch-Romanian pair have defeated Bopanna-Mergea in a final after dominating them in the ATP World Tour Finals last year.
Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea, who won the Madrid Open back in 2015, have been in a poor run since the turn of the year.
