World No.1 Novak Djokovic has said that he still considers Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal to be among the best in the sport despite the emergence of other new faces. The Serb also said that he never fancied the term “Big Four” pointing out to other players who have won Grand Slams recently.

"It`s kind of expected to have some new faces in this sport, but I still wouldn`t rule out Roger and Rafa and I would not take them out of that context of the best players in the world," Djokovic said at the Shanghai Masters on Tuesday, after the latest ATP rankings did not feature both Nadal and Federer in the top 4.

While saying that he never liked the notion of "Big Four", a term used by the tennis community to group himself, Federer, Nadal and Andy Murray, Djokovic said that there are several others who are world-class.

"And now you have the new wave of tennis players, a new generation is coming up," he said, speaking about Stan Wawrinka who had recently beaten him to the US Open title in September.

Pointing at Australia`s Nick Kyrgios and Croatia's Borna Coric, Djokovic said, "Kyrgios and Coric, these kind of players that are young and motivated to show to the world that they can compete on the highest level."

In the newly released rankings, Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori and Dominic Thiem are all in the top 10, while upcoming talents such as Kyrgios and Lucas Pouille are already in the top 20.
