The third Grand Slam of the year started at the All England Club on Monday and starting from the first day itself, the tournament has provided fans with some exciting tennis. The grass-court major saw all seeded players, with the exception of Serena Williams, join the fray for the oldest Grand Slam.
Stan Wawrinka and Nick Kyrgios failed to impose themselves in the tournament as they were ousted in the very first round matches, the latter exiting due to an injury. The fab-four of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray, however, cruised past their opponents to enter the second round of the event. Meanwhile, in women's event, world No.1 Angelique Kerber, Petra Kvitova, Venus Williams, and Johanna Konta registered easy wins to advance to the second round.compiling some of the most entertaining moments of the first round.
