Match 1:  Alize Cornet vs Agnieszka Radwanska:

Q1) Who will go through to the next round?

  A) Radwanska    B) Cornet

In their respective previous rounds, Radwanska won a hard-fought battle with Van Uytvanck, whereas crowd favorite Cornet upset 20th seed Barbora Strycova. Radwanska and Cornet have played 8 H2H matches in which Radwanska has a 7-1 advantage. The pair have met in the French Open on one previous occasion in 2008, where Radwanska won comfortably in straight sets. However, Radwanska will be vary of Cornet's threat, as she is coming off the back of an upset.

Q2) How many sets will the match last?

   A) 2       B) 3

In their 8 previous H2H encounters, 6 of the 8 matches have ended in straight sets. However, both Radwanska and Cornet have played a 3-setter in this French Open so far. Despite the stats being so one-sided, Cornet would be full of confidence after her victory against Strycova, and hence, chances are that the match will end in straight sets.

Match 2:  Stan Wawrinka vs Fabio Fognini

Q1) Who will go through to the next round?

Despite having a mediocre start to the clay court season, Stan Wawrinka looks like he's back on track. Wawrinka won the Geneva 250 title last week and is yet to drop a set in Roland Garros this week. On the other hand, Fognini would also know that he has every chance of winning this match, given his track record of upsetting the very best players. The win for Fognini against Murray would give him immense confidence coming into this match. However, Wawrinka has a 5-1 H2H advantage over Fognini, 4 of those victories coming on clay

Q5) How many sets will the match last?

     A) 3         B) 5               B) 4

Wawrinka has won both his matches in RG 2017 in straight sets, whereas Fogini had to battle out a 5-setter against Francis Tiafoe in the first round. In their 6 previous H2H meetings, 3 matches have ended in straight sets whereas 3 matches have gone the distance. However, they played each other in the 2010 French Open, where Wawrinka won in straight sets. But Fognini's unpredictability always makes him a constant threat.

Match 3: Andy Murray vs Juan Martin del Potro

Q1) Who will go through to the next round?

A) Andy Murray       B) Juan Martin Del Potro

Murray has a 6-3 H2H advantage over Juan Martin Del Potro in the 9 matches played between the pair. However, Del Potro has won 2 of the last 3 encounters, including an epic 5 set victory against Murray in the Davis Cup semi-final last year. They've met once in Grand Slams before, in the 2008 US Open, where Murray in 4 tight sets. Murray has had a shaky start to RG 2017, having already dropped one set in each of his first 2 rounds. Del Potro would look to capitalize on Murray's lack of confidence, and it might very well go in his favor.

Q2) Will there be a tie-breaker?

A) Yes          B) No

In their 9 previous H2H encounters, Del Potro and Murray have played a staggering 13 tie-breakers, including one in their last encounter in the Davis Cup semi-final. Del Potro is yet to play a tie-breaker in RG 2017, but Murray on the other hand, has already been involved in 2 tie-breakers, both against Martin Klizan in the previous round. In their last 10 matches, Murray has played 5 tie-breakers whereas Del Potro has played 4 tie-breakers.
