Alexander Zverev bats for Roger Federer to win Wimbledon

Germany's Alexander Zverev has predicted Roger Federer to lift his eighth Wimbledon title in the upcoming Grand Slam event commencing on July 3rd. The 20-year old also stated that the level of tennis the 18-time Grand Slam winner plays is insane and no one will ever come close to the Swiss.
Alexander Zevrev suffered a defeat in the final of the Halle Open at the hands of Roger Federer in straight sets of 6-1, 6-3. Following his defeat, the World No. 12 termed the Swiss as the favourite to win the upcoming Wimbledon while marvelling at the standard of Federer's play.Â

Roger Federer made a terrific comeback to the court after a career-threatening knee injury to win the Australian Open in January this year which were followed by title wins at Indian Wells Masters and Miami Open. The Swiss then skipped the clay-court season in a bid to prepare for Wimbledon and, after a bumpy start at the Stuttgart Open, Federer returned to winning ways at the Halle Open to clinch his 1100th win in the ATP World Tours en route his title win.

"He is always fantastic and respectful with everyone", Zverev said. 'He always tries to help us, I listen to his suggestions. He helped me at the beginning of my career and I think it's like this for all the younger players."Â
The 20-year old made his presence felt at the Italian Open when he defeated World No. 4 Novak Djokovic to clinch the title and rose to a career-high ranking of 10.
