Funny things happen in a game of cricket, but how often do we see a bowler not realizing that a batsman has been dismissed even after the bails are whipped off? Middlesex pacer Tom Helm had this funny moment as he was completely unaware of James Vince’s dismissal during a Natwest T20 game.

In pursuit of a modest Middlesex total of 136 all out, Hampshire cantered to their fifth win courtesy of an excellent 60 by opening batsman Rilee Rossouw that cemented his side's place in the qualifying places. Along with English batsman James Vince, he provided a great start for Hampshire. But undoubtedly, the funniest moment of the game came when Tom Helm, the Middlesex pacer, bowled Vince out but failed to realise the dismissal.

Helm, who has been on the verge of an international call for quite some time now, was on the way back to his bowling crease but got to know about the dismissal when wicket-keeper John Simpson and skipper Eoin Morgan started celebrating the dismissal. Helm, then, joined them in the celebration, but that gave rise to one hilarious moment of the match.

But in the game, nothing went in the favour of Middlesex - who were already hampered by the loss of Dawid Malan, Toby Roland-Jones and Steve Finn on England duty, injuries to Paul Stirling and James Fuller, coupled with the absence of overseas stars Brendon McCullum and Tim Southee - underperformed in every department to crash to their fifth defeat in a disjointed qualifying campaign.
