Shapoor Zadran gave a hilarious push to send off Mohammad Shahzad during a match between Karnataka Tuskers and Deccan Gladiators in the ongoing third season of the T10 league in Abu Dhabi. Courtesy a late blitz from Kieron Pollard, it was the Gladiators who triumphed on the day.

After leaking a couple of boundaries in the same over of the 10th match in this year’s tournament, Zadran decided to go back to the old motto: full and straight, you miss and I hit. That’s exactly what transpired in the penultimate delivery as Shahzad’s attempt of playing a big shot saw him missing the ball altogether. The delivery was straight and it crashed into middle and off. An elated Zadran hilariously pushed his former Afghanistan teammate, urging him to walk off the field in a jiffy.

However, it is understood that Zadran’s gesture contained no malice and was taken by Shahzad in a positive manner. The 32-year old wicket-keeper batsman ended up scoring 13 off eight balls with the help of three fours.

Chasing a 111-run target, the Gladiators sealed the win in the penultimate over of the innings, thanks to all-rounder Kieron Pollard’s match-winning 45* (22) with the help of one four and four sixes. All the four sixes hit by Pollard came off a Sandeep Lamichhane over, where the 19-year old spinner went for 30 runs.
