A match between Deccan Gladiators and Team Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday, in the third season of the T10 league, was called off because the organizers couldn't provide teams with the DLS sheets. The Gladiators were 25 for one in the third over, chasing 119, when rain interrupted play.

When rains stopped, at 21:45 local time, it looked like the match, although reduced, would draw to a conclusion after all. It’s a shame, though, that when 15 minutes later, the officials decided to abandon the match. It wasn’t because the rains had returned but because of a complete mess in the background organization.

Having been asked to bat, Team Abu Dhabi rode on cameos from top five to post a decent ten-over total of 118 for four — Wayne Madsen, the top scorer, with a 14-ball 29. The run-flow was only stifled because of four excellent overs from Fawad Ahmed and Mason Crane, who, between them, only conceded 25 runs and picked up three wickets.

In reply, wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad (24 off eight balls) got the Gladiators off to a flyer with a flurry of boundaries. However, captain Shane Watson was cleaned bowled for one by Mustafa, in what proved to be the penultimate ball of the entire match.
