Andile Phehlukwayo, who was last seen in action against Australia, brought out his A game in the 3TC event in South Africa with his bowling being spot on. However, that was not the only thing spot on in the game, with the all-rounder pulling off a celebration that was unique to world cricket.

After four months of no cricket, the sport finally returned to South African soil through Cricket South Africa’s brainchild, 3TC Solidarity Cup. Whilst AB de Villiers and Thando Ntini stole the limelight early on in the proceedings, it was Andile Phehlukwayo who brought out his ‘A’ celebration in the game. At 97/3, the encounter was still a see-saw one with both sides still well and truly alive in the game.

Just a delivery after Klaasen had struck the 23-year-old for a boundary, he was back to the bowling crease with vigour. He ran in and bowled one of the toughest deliveries in world cricket, a wide yorker which Klaasen played on to his off-stump. While the delivery in itself was magnificent, the shot wasn’t. However, what followed was a glimpse of everything that the event was there for- solidarity.

The all-rounder from Durban pulled his shirt up and put his right fist up, with his t-shirt reading ‘Black Lives Matter.’ His celebration followed with a three-second pause as he put his hands up in applause, possibly signalling towards the event for bringing up the social issue. His celebration and his wicket left the Kingfishers in a muddle at 97/4.

Here is how twitter reacted on his celebration:
