Manchester United are eyeing a £46 million bid for Ajax man David Neres, as the Red Devils look to reinforce their front-line. With Romelu Lukaku’s potential move to the Serie A, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is adamant to add another attacker with links to Paulo Dybala and now David Neres.

Manchester United are on a spending spree, just like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said they won’t be on towards the end of last summer. However, while the Red Devils have already confirmed moves for Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, all that’s left is a move for Harry Maguire to be confirmed.

The Leicester City center-back is due for his medical with the Red Devils over the next few days, with an £85 million transfer fee already confirmed. That doesn’t include his wages and bonuses, which could potentially increase the fee even further but they’re still not done.

The Sun has reported that Manchester United are still keen on making a move for Ajax star David Neres, with a rumoured £46 million bid for the Brazilian. The report further adds that Ajax, on the other hand, are looking for somewhere closer to £80 million. The Eredivisie giants have to share 23% of any transfer fee with Neres’ former side Santos and that is why they’re pushing up the Brazilian’s transfer fee.

It’s one of the reasons why no side has made a concrete offer for the 22-year-old, despite his performances last season. That has seen Ajax offer Neres a one-year extension in an attempt to keep him at the club.
