According to a Goal.com report, ISL franchise Jamshedpur FC are set to sign deals with young footballers Jitendra Singh and Narender Gahlot ahead of the 2019-20 season. Both the youngsters had played for the Indian Arrows side in the I-League last year under the guidance of Floyd Pinto.

After finishing fifth on the points table in the Indian Super League last season, Jamshedpur is making some key additions to their unit ahead of the 2019-20 edition of the topmost league of India. After signing winger Keegan Pereira and renewing the contracts of Augustin Fernandes and Robin Gurung, the team has now added young legs Jitendra and Gahlot who were a part of the Indian Arrows team in the last season’s I-League under the coaching of Floyd Pinto.

Jitendra is a centre-back in the Arrows and he represented the team on 14 occasions in the last edition. The 17-year-old footballer had also held the record for being the youngest goal scorer in the league before it was broken by Rohit Danu in 2019.

Gahlot, on the other hand, plays as a defender and had made 10 appearances for the All India Football Federation (AIFF) development side in the I League last season. Gahlot was also a member of the Indian side that played in the FIFA U-17 World Cup which was held in India in 2017. The 18-year-old defender took coaching at the Chandigarh academy and had also played for the Sports Authority of India (SAI) football side earlier in his small career.
