Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard has admitted that the Bavarians have a squad good enough to lift not just the Bundesliga title and the German Cup but the Champions League as well. The reigning Bundesliga champions are in fine form and have one foot in the next round of the Champions League.

While the Bundesliga has restarted their season and the other three big European leagues are slowly on their way but the biggest question is what happens to the Champions League. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the finals for both the Europa League and the Champions League were postponed to a date not yet known to the rest of the world. That uncertainty has caused a few problems for the rest of Europe but hope still reigns supreme at Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians have what looks like an impossible lead to overcome at the top of the Bundesliga table and are already in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal. It does look like the club will cap another domestic double but there are questions over their prowess on the European stage despite their form this season. The Bavarians already have one foot into the next round after beating Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge but questions have been asked about their ability to thrive deeper into the tournament. But hasn't mattered to Benjamin Pavard as the Frenchman admitted that his side have a team good enough to lift the treble.

"We have a very good squad. We are performing well in the cup and in the Bundesliga. We must continue like this. Bayern must win the championship and the cup every year. The UCL, we dream of it and we want to make the treble," Pavard said, reported Goal.

The 2018 World Cup signed for the Bavarians in January 2019 but only joined the club last summer and yet his time has been marred with inconsistency and injuries. However, before the lockdown, Pavard and Bayern had found consistency under Hansi Flick with that continuing even after the restart. That saw the Frenchman admit that his improvements at both sides of the field are there for all to see and that he is looking to do nothing but win trophies with his side.

"I think that since I am at Bayern, I have progressed a lot defensively, but especially offensively. I have to keep scoring, that was my weak point before. But there I progressed. But my first role remains to defend well. There is no particular aim. The goal is to play as many matches as possible, to be in starting XI and win titles, to be as efficient as possible too,”

"I signed for five years at Bayern. I play my matches, I am performing and I will do everything to improve further. I want to win a lot of titles. I don't know yet what the future holds, we know that in football it can go very quickly, but I don't ask myself many questions,” he added.
