After months of speculations, AC Milan have won the race for Sandro Tonali with them signing the 21-year-old on loan for a €10 million fee with an option to buy for €15 million. The Brescia starlet was heavily linked with a move to England, Spain and even Italy but eventually picked the Rossoneri.

Despite serious interest from Inter Milan and Juventus, the lure of playing for the club that he loved as a boy proved to be too much for Sandro Tonali. It means that after nearly a year of speculation over his future, the 20-year-old has finally signed for AC Milan on an initial season long loan with an option to buy. The two parties have come to an agreement on an initial €10 million fee loan fee with an option to buy set at €15 million although the deal could go as high as €35 million with add-ons.

Reports have indicated that personal terms were no issue between the two sides with the 20-year-old keen on playing for Milan. Rossoneri CEO Ivan Gazidis confirmed the move and also revealed that Tonali has the talent and the ability to take AC Milan in the right direction forward. He also added that the young Italian understands the values of a club like Milan and what they want to build.

“We are delighted to welcome Sandro Tonali to AC Milan. He is one of the most promising young talents in international football. Sandro has a love for the Club and an understanding of its values that will add to what we want to build together. Welcome Sandro!” Gazidis told AC Milan’s official website.
