The second encounter between Indian and Germany at Stellenbosch ended in a hard fought loss for the Indian eves by a score line of 2-3. Sunita Lakra and Anuradha Devi Thokchom scored the goals for the Indian team, while Hannah Kruger's brace and Lisa Marie Schutze's goals won it for the Germans.
The first period started with the Indian Team looking to make up for the loss in the previous encounter against Germany. India started on an attacking note and
The second quarter started with Germany looking to make a comeback as German Lisa Marie Schutze took over and scored a field goal to bring the score to an even 1-1. The Indian Team also fought back playing a counter attacking game
The third quarter witnessed no goals from either side as both defences were on top and the quarter ended at 2-2.
The fourth quarter witnessed a stark change in the game as both teams moved into complete attack mode and played a very high pressing game. Hannah Kruger in the dying moments of the match became the hero for Germany as she converted her second penalty corner of the match to give Germany an exciting win by 3 goals to 2.
The next match of the South African tour will be played between India and Scotland on 1st March 2016.
