Maninder Singh wipes out the entire Titans team

South Korean sensation Jang Kun Lee drew first blood taking a bonus point in his very first raid followed by Maninder Singh who made a return to PKL after a break of three seasons. However, Titans returned the favour by tying the score at 2-2 soon. Titans skipper Rahul Chaudhari took charge in the neck-to-neck game sending Bengal Warriors players to the bench but the Warriors responded with Maninder who took out six players in three successive raids inflicting an all-out and opening a five-point lead with the scoreboard reading 13-8. Bengal scored the first defensive point with Shrikant Tewatia pinning Vikas to the mat. However, the momentum slowly started to shift when Nilesh Salunkhe got the better of Bengal skipper Surjeet Singh before the whole Titans defence got hold of Maninder. In Maninder’s absence, Lee took charge and brought the fiery Maninder back in the game with a successful raid as the first half finished with the scoreboard flashing 19-14 in Bengal’s favour.

Lee seals the game for Bengal Warriors

Lee put a Scorpion kick to great use before using the lobby to escape with two points before Ran Singh brought down Rahul in his bid to raid the Bengal side extending their lead to 22-14. However, the South Korean was on the receiving end when he tried to inflict a second all-out falling prey to a super tackle that fetch the home side two crucial points before Nilesh raided the Bengal half successfully reducing the deficit to 22-18. Meanwhile, Bengal Warriors kept Telugu’s star raider Rahul on the bench for over 10 minutes before Deepak Narwal raided the home side’s half successfully. Rahul came back on the court only for a few seconds before once again being sent back to the bench. On the other end, Vikas scored two points in his side’s favour to narrow the lead to 22-28. However, Lee raided the Telugu half successfully yet again to ensure that the lead stayed intact eventually paving the way for a 30-23 win over the Titans.
