National Karting Championship | Nirmal Umashankar wins three races, stays on top

Chennai driver Nirmal Umashankar extended his winning streak to keep his spot at the top of the table of FMSCI National Karting Championship (X-30 class). Apart from him, Ruhaan Alva did decently in the junior category while Ishaan Madesh kept dominating the cadet section with a massive lead.

Umashankar managed to win three of his four races at the Meco Kartopia track on Saturday as he retained his position on the top of the table. However, he didnā€™t stop there and continued with three more podium finishes yesterday.

Consequently, his points tally has now come to 137 after four rounds, which has kept him at the top of the rankings ahead of Debarun Banerjee (81) and Aditya Swaminathan (79).

In the Junior category, Bengaluru's Ruhaan Alva also did decently well on the weekend garnering 33 points on Saturday and a perfect 40 on Sunday as he moved to 130 points. He is leading the points table ahead of Arjun Nair (101) and M.R. Rishon (74).

Not only the senior and the junior, but the cadet section also had a domineering performer in Bengaluruā€™s Ishaan Madesh. By the end of Sunday, he was able to open up a huge gap at the top of the standings with 153 points, staying ahead of Shriya Lohia (107) and Sai Shiva Sankaran (89).
