Hyderabad FC has announced the signing of Indian defender Konsham Chinglensana Singh from FC Goa on a two-year deal, which will keep him with the ISL outfits until the end of the 2021-22 season. The Manipuri was a part of the FC Goa side for the last three seasons and featured in 20 games.

Hyderabad FC’s debut season was nothing less than a disaster, with them finishing at the bottom of the points table, winning just two games in the process. But, the management is on a mission to revamp their squad completely and make amends for the previous season. Most recently, they have roped in Indian defender Konsham Chinglensana Singh on a two-year deal, which will keep him with the Indian Super League outfits till the end of the 2021-22 season.

"The club is building a new squad with a lot of ambition in an exciting project. I want to be part of this team and play my role in helping the club establish its legacy in Indian Football by trying to win trophies and bringing back glory days to the city of Hyderabad," said Chinglensana Singh, after completing the formalities.

‘Sana’, as he is popularly known in the Indian football circuit, spent his youth career at Mahindra United, Air India, and Tata Football Academy, before making the move to Shillong Lajong FC. It was with the North-eastern side that he made his senior debut in 2015 in the I-League, simultaneously representing ISL side Delhi Dynamos FC on loan in 2016. He joined FC Goa in 2017 and since then been a part of the side, before striking a deal with Hyderabad FC.

“The primary aim of all teams in the league is to make it to the play-offs and then make the final push. I’ve been part of the same mentality at Goa and our targets are similar in Hyderabad. With Goa, I’ve been part of the side that’s been in the semifinal twice and the final once, so achieving that final step is a personal target,” added the Indian International.
