Japan Open: Nick Kyrgios rallies from behind to win third ATP career title

Australian sixth seed Nick Kyrgios fired 24 aces en route to bagging his third ATP World Tour title in the final of the Japan Open Tennis Championships on Sunday. The youngster battled hard to defeat David Goffin after being a set down in the finals.
Fifth seed David Goffin took the early initiative in the very first set and played sharply to deny his opponent any breaks. The Belgian continued to assert pressure and eventually won the set 6-4.
In the second set, Goffin had a chance to break Kyrgios early in the third game, but the Australian held on. In the very next game, Kyrgios managed to break Goffin for the first time, and with that advantage, bagged the second set 6-3.

This has been Kyrgios’ breakthrough season as he has achieved his third ATP career title adding to his wins in Marseille and Atlanta, earlier this season.
Meanwhile, in the doubles final played earlier, Marcel Granollers and his partner Marcin Matkowski clinched the title after defeating second seeds Raven Klaasen-Rajeev Ram in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6(4).
