PV Sindhu is all set to take on Nozomi Okuhara in the final of the ongoing BWF World Championships in Basel, Switzerland. The Indian has entered her third consecutive final and will be looking forward to claiming the yellow metal in the all-important match of the year for Sindhu on Sunday.

Sindhu, after having a great run in the quarter-final and the semi-final against top shuttlers like Tai Tzu Ying and Chen Yu Fei, will now eye the title when she will take on the Japanese. She had defeated Yu Fei 21-7 21-14 in the semi-final which went on for 40 minutes on Saturday. As this is her third entry into the finals of the World Championships and that too in three successive year, the Hyderabadi player will try to leave a mark by clinching the coveted trophy this time around.

In 2017, she had lost to Okuhara while in the previous edition of the World Championships, the silver-medallist from the 2016 Rio Olympics was outplayed by the Olympic champion Carolina Marin in Nanjing. But, here she is back in the summit clash to take on the Japanese and take the revenge of the defeat a couple of years back in the same tournament where the Indian had to settle down with a silver medal after losing the summit battle.
