And that's all she had written. Hyderabad ship in eight goals in two matches, scoring one which was an absolute blinder. But, tonight is for Jamshedpur! The players, especially the young domestic players up top, have mightily impressed. 
Their pace, understanding of the game, and confidence in finishing is marvellous and when put a composed Piti behind them, this is what they capable of!
Hyderabad go top of the league table with the only side to win two consecutive games after Gameweek 1.

Keagan Pereira takes the ball to the corner flag hoping to waste some time. But, he is tackled soon enough and HFC win possession. 

Acosta doing the leg work now. He gets the ball in the midfield, runs up, plays a pass and return with Paasi, who came on for Farukh, before putting in a low, hard cross for Castel at the far post!

Chance for HFC as Robin does well to hold the ball and lay it off for Rohit inside the box with late poke. But, the midfielder blasts it high and wide.
It is just not happening for Hyderabad at the moment!

Robin Singh does well to keep the ball in from a corner by arching his header back in! But, no HFC players could get to it.
With Piti gone, JFC have been more direct and lacking the creativity.
But, defending the last few minutes would be enough to get them three points. 

Rohit Kumar is seen chasing JFC player, fighting a lost battle. But, the hosts are so confident now that they are passing for fun now.
HFC string together some confident passes before Gurung brings Rohit Kumar down!
But, HFC decide to play back from the freekick.
Adil Khan gets the ball inside the back and his overhead kick is planted on Gurung! game paused.

Piti has been taken off as Acosta takes his place!

JFC win the freekick in a dangerous position as Piti is brought down by Rai.
He goes for glory and the ball is high. The ref says that a JFC player was not standing the required distance any way.

Everyone is taking their chance now!
Castel gets the ball in the centre after Rai misclears the ball. He turns his man and plays it to Keagan Pereira on the left. The full back wastes no time in taking a shot and Kamaljit keeps it out somehow!

HFC get a freekick and Stankovic takes it. The ball is nowhere near the players in the centre of the box! Yes, he has been that low in confidence!

These is brilliant to see Aniket Jadhav and Farukh in such tandem!
Jadhav runs from the midfield and keeps on running till he reaches the left flank! He puts his head up and crosses an inch-perfect ball for Jadhav to head it in. But, Jadhav heads it to the ground!

Goal Castel!

As easy as it gets for the Spaniard! He collects the ball from Memo's long pass with aplomb coolness and turns back.
He has Kigallon and Gurtej behind and he feigns his way past them easily and slots the ball at the far post!

Rohit Kumar has been the standout player for HFC today. Even the goal that Marcelinho scored saw the midfielder playing a quick freekick.

Stankovic escapes a booking and how!
The midfielder is seen holding on to Piti and pulling him back! The ref holds himself back because Stankovic is already on a card!

JFC on the verge of another buildup but Stankovic extends his arm to hit his face!
HFC defend it well and go on the counter! Rai gets the ball on the flank from a throw and puts in the cross inside the box for Robin Singh.
The striker holds his man, turns and hits the ball wide from inside the box.

Jamshedpur is always one pass away from creating a chance!
Piti gets the ball, plays it over HFC defence for Castel. The striker should have held on to it but he gives a cross first time. There is no JFC man inside the box but Gurtej mis-clear it for a corner!

JFC go on the counter as Piti again finds Castel with a beautiful pass. He puts it on the left for Aniket to chase, but the young striker overhits it but gets a corner!
But, Jamshedpur get another chance from the corner as Keagan finds himself at the end of a fortunate ball. But, he hits it very slow!

The Brazilian hits the wall with a low shot and Stankovic clears it for a throw, for some reason!

Aniket Jadhav scores! Goal!

And Jadhav makes up for it!
Keagan Pereira with a through-ball for Farukh on the left-wing and this time the striker place a beautiful cut-back into the centre of the box!
Aniket gets to it, takes  a touch sees up and shoots it past Kamaljit.

Farukh with a second goal almost!
He did well to keep up with the pace of the through ball, reach to it and then leave Ashish Rai for dead with his change of pace!
However, he takes a shot at he far post, a grounded shot, and a panicky HFC defence somehow clears it!

Aniket Jadhav had a chance to make instant impact!

That's got to be 2-1 to Jamshedpur! Aniket, who came on seconds before to replace Isaac, got a chance instantly as Castel cross a low hard ball that needed just a touch! 
But, he heads it high and wide from three yards out!

Stankovic has been a shadow of himself from last season. He has done his physical duties well so far in the midfield, but his final product has been missing.
Meanwhile, Farukh makes a mockery of himself as his attempted receive of the ball sees it hitting his head rather than his head!

Sahil Panwar is seemingly injured although his clash with Castel looked very simple.
Ashish Rai takes the place of Panwar! Another name to HFC's lengthy injury list.

Unforced change and one that could spell curse in Hyderabad. Rai was there in the 5-0 loss to ATK and how much confidence he has in him is questionable.

Piti gets lost in the plethora of options he has upfront. He twists and turns his way to evade his marker but ends up giving his long ball to a Hyderabad player.
But, with HFC's poor defence, JFC can create almost at will here!
Every through ball looks dangerous with Castel running behind it.

Another one on one chance at the other end and this time it is Farukh who is tackled just before he shoots!
HFC go on the counter but Paul is there to hold on to such crosses!
JFC get another chance on the counter but Mobashir Rahman is seen overdoing it! A goal could cone anytime now!

Jamshedpur needed a good 10-15 minutes to settle into their comfort zone and they would be needing the same this time as well. HFC have been looking threatening here!

Robin Singh misses a sitter!

HFC start with intent there as Panwar goes on the left to put in a cross. Adil Khan gets to it at the far post before he is haggled off the ball with Marcelinho getting it!
He passes it back to the centre where Stankovic takes a shot and the ball falls kindly for Robin, who had two yards between him and the goal!
And he misses it. Typical Robin!

Second Half!

Castel starts with a short backpass to Monroy, who passes it square to Piti!
The midfielder nutmegs Adil before changing flank. However, JFC eventually give away the ball.

Half Time!
Well, the equalizer was against the run of play surely! But, Hyderabad have always banked on the individual brilliance of Marcelinho to get their goals and he produced a piece of brilliance yet again!
JFC had gotten complacent there and they would only have themselves to blame fot it.
However, the match is balanced now and hopefully, HFC will come with more confidence in the second half.

Goal Marcelinho!

After Adil Khan is fouled near the centre line, Rohit Kumar takes a quick freekick to Marcelinho on the right!
He runs up outpacing Pereira and takes a bolt at the par post. The custodian couldn't stop it!

Robin Singh plays a good through ball for Marcelinho who just had to outmuscle his marker. But, Memo won't be turnover and he holds off Marcelinho well.
JFC have largely maintained structure in the last 10 minutes, not looking to score much.
The linesman show two minutes added as Poojary wins a corner for his side.

Piti comes back to take the ball from Gurung and is fouled by Rohit Kumar. With less than five minutes to go, HFC won't be willing to give away possession to JFC. 
The hosts take advantage of it and almost makes another chance before Castel's cheeky back heel fails!

The differences between Hyderabad and Jamshedpur so far in the evening have been two things!
First is Piti, who has been a one-man midfield weapon for his side. And the second would be the uncertainty that is buzzing the visitors.
Meanwhile, Isaac fails to score trying to curl the ball at the far post!

End to End stuff!
Marcelinho have been the only lightning rod in HFC attack. He goes past two players to get into the box but is eventually tackled. The ref says "no penalty'!
JFC go on the counter here and this time Piti has a clear shot on goal! But, it was on his weaker foot and he hits it wide!

Hyderabad have been sent on the backfoot again! But, given how leaky their defence has been, they should have seen it coming.
Farukh now decides to take on the entire HFC defence alone and gets tackled by Adil.

Goal Farukh!

That was all Nikhil Poojary! The wide player, who has been asked to play in the defence today gave a mis-pass after collecting a ball from Gurtej!
Piti was there to latch on to it, and he swiftly gets into the box after going past a man and takes a rocket shot.
Kamaljit gloves it out but Farukh comes in time to score from the rebound!

This is quite strange for the hosts. This was the hundredth time that a ball has been seen dropping empty at the far post and running out for a throw or a goal kick. JFC need to deploy a man there to make these chances count!

JFC players are frustrated with the slow pace of HFC's passing! Piti is seen coaxing Castel to chase the centre-halves!
JFC does that win a throw in the attacking third. Piti takes a long shot to win a corner on the other flank.

Isaac has impressed one and all with his workrate and pace up and down the left flank. But, his crosses have often been met inside the box and with lesser teammates in it, the youngster needs to be more precise.
Sahil and Farukh are down after a clash. The game is paused!

The number of misses in the early stages of the first half has killed the motivation fo JFC and their passes are now going haywire.
This could be the time for HFC to get something out of it.

Hyderabad fail to make anything of the corner and Brown is seen frustrated at the sidelines.
However, Rohit Kumar shows some spark of brilliance in the midfield as he goes past a flurry of players before passing it to Marcelinho!
But, the striker blasts it high!

Piti has been absolutely delightful from the midfield as he floats in another delicate ball for Castel inside the bo. The young striker, however, saw the ball hit his shin and going out for a goal kick.

HFC get the ball then and Marcelinho goes on a marauding run up front! However, his final touch is heavy and it hits JFC defender to win a corner!

Piti is one touch away from the goal!
JFC attack from the flanks where Castel is seen getting the ball and getting enough space and time to cut in and play a square ball!
Piti was arriving at the centre of the box but he fails to get his touch right, as the ball rolls on to Kamaljit's hands.

Kilgallon almost messes things up at the back with Castel chasing him. He clears it for a corner.
JFC comes close to scoring yet again from the freekick and sooner or later, HFC would be regretting their lack of aerial abilities at the back!

Isaac does well to keep the ball before passing it to Castel, who holds on to it. But, Gurtej eventually fouls him and right in front of referee.
Memo sees the freekick at the far post and heads it in for Farukh. But, the striker heads it just wide!

Marcelinho with another poor kick, this time from the corner. Hyderabad would need at least one goal to give them some confidence!
They have already conceded five.

Stankovic is booked!

After mispassing the ball in the attacking third, the midfielder is seen lunging at Monroy and not getting the ball.
Hyderabad look semi-dangerous here but Tiri has been absolutely brilliant so far.

Farukh misses a sitter!

Mobashir Rahman with a peach of a pass inside the box for Farukh. And the forward got the hard part right as he brought down the ball with a delightful touch! But, he fails at poking the ball beyond the custodian!
Kamaljit should be credited there, but Hyderabad's defence is as vulnerable as ever!

Tiri is complaining about of Marcelinho's high boot, but that was unintentional!
Isaac with a long shot from way outside the box, but Kamaljit fails to hold on to it. Farukh fails to latch on to the reboun!

Hyderabad get a foul from a dangerous position! But, Marcelinho's left footed shot is well wide of the near post. 
HFC have dominated posession early on in the game although JFC have been more clinical.
As I say that, Castel sees his cross just falling short of Farukh!

There is a vibe of optimism in the Hyderabad camp, which is good to see. They are not afraid to go up.
But, Piti's inch-perfect diagonal ball for Isac shows why they cannot go all out attacking here.
It took one pass from the midfield for JFC to reach HFC's box! However, HFC deal with it for the timebeing!

Almost a chance for JFC!

Sergio Castel does well to outmuscle his marker to get the ball into the midfield and Farukh is released on the right flank!
The forward runs up with it but his cross is ultimately blocked and goes for a goalkick!

Hyderabad will kick us off!
A long back-pass all the way to the defence before a straight ball ahead is attempted. 
However, JFC have been pressing well and Adil Khan is forced to pass it backwards here.

Surprisingly the ref hasn't signalled who would be kicking us off! But, given how refereeing has been so far in the league, nothing surprises or disappoints me!
All we know is that HFC have won the toss!

Preview 

The Men of Steel would be high in confidence after a thrilling win in their campaign opener and would be having the home advantage as well at the Furnace, which has seen a steady footfall since their entrance into the league two years back in 2017-18.

On the other side, nothing is going well for Hyderabad FC. With a change in city and franchise as well, the challenge has only become more complicated for Phil Brown, was appointed in the latter stages of last season and managed to hold onto his role despite very little time to get with the squad.

Facing a side like Jamshedpur FC on the road would become doubly difficult with the string of injuries and player suspension that, Hyderabad are struggling to cope with at the moment. However, one good match this time and Brown’s team could get back to a competitive mode for they have players on the field who could make the difference.

Key Players

New Spanish recruit Sergio Castel from Atletico Madrid B, who scored the winner against Odisha FC, will spearhead the attack, alongside Indian talents like Farrukh Chawdhary and young Aniket Jadhav, who could also do sufficient damage if taken lightly.

Antonio Iriondo also has a string of talented Spanish players in midfielder Piti and captain Tiri at the defence, who would be playing crucial roles for the Steelers. Piti, the former La Liga player brings a lot to the table with his experience and didn’t take any time to gel into league’s pace, as was seen in the last game.

Hyderabad would be banking mainly on former ISL golden ball winner Marcelniho, who had a poor game against ATK and will be looking to regain his goal-scoring prowess. He will be partnering with Indian team star Adhil Khan in the defensive midfield. Adhil was the lone warrior against ATK and would be needing serious help from his teammates if they are to inflict any damage to Jamshedpur.

The 65-year-old coach’s first outing outside Spain for the first time might be fruitful considering the strong squad he has.

The Englishman has played and managed several clubs in England. His notable stint was in the Premier League with Hull City, where they were promoted but could not avoid relegation in the same season. In India, he uplifted the struggling Pune City FC last season to a decent position in the table. It will be a huge responsibility for Phil to bring in new fans for Hyderabad FC after their heavy defeat to ATK.
