Full Time

A shameful end to an otherwise entertaining game. However, it does give a glimpse of what Josep Gombau is capable of if things went his way early on in the season. The late bitterness between the teams saw even the dugout staffs facing each other. 
The league will take a break here and come back with the last phase of the group stage, following which we will break into the playoffs!

The referee abruptly blows his whistle as Diaz wins the ball at the back. 

The time added has not yet been shown as the game continues into the 95th minute here. Delhi keep possession as they keep passing the ball from midfield to defence.

Diaz has also been given a yellow card as the game resumes again after the ugly incident. 

Marcelinho gets his second yellow and is sent off while Francisco continues to get medical attention. 

Absolutely, dirty scenes here with replays showing Crespi being elbowed by Marcelinho on his face. The players break into a fight with Diaz and Crespi having an altercation at the sideline while Sahil and Rene is seen holding off each other's shirt. The ref has taken out his yellow card and we will find out who goes into the book.

Chhangte is seen making a late run inside the Pune box as Rene try to release him. Pune go on the counter and Marcelinho sticks out a dirty leg on an incoming Francisco. 

Delhi continue to hover around the Pune box as they exchange passes among themselves as the game is almost over at this stage.

Meanwhile, Robin Singh is taken off as Abhishek Halder takes his place. 

Five minutes to go and this looks like an end to Pune's glorious run post the international break. However, with Diego Carlos out for the season, Stankovic injured, they could only expect so much. 

Hume is down after a challenge by Rene and need medical attention. 

Meanwhile, Daniel is subbed off as Subham Sarangi comes on. 

Chhangte is left free again on the right flank with Sarthak in the attacking third. The winger collects the ball well, comes inside before laying it off for Davila. Davila's shot is, however, blocked by Pune. 

Delhi attack on the counter and Chhangte's cross is not good. It falls way out at the far post as Pune get the throw. Delhi might have been reluctant at the back, but they have defended very well as far as retaining the lead is concerned. 

Pune get a throw near the left corner flag and Sarthak comes with his characteristic long throw. The ball is half-cleared as Poojary hits it wide. 

Dhot goes up and lays it off for Chhangte. He has left the entire right flank open when Pune win the ball back. However, Vinit Rai does well to foul the midfielder giving his side time to regroup. 

Davila releases Chhangte on the left who cuts back and lays it off for Rene. However, Pune's defence is alive to the danger and defends it well this time. 

Davila takes his time to get up as Delhi resume their play with a back pass all the way to Francisco. Chhangte combines to see the latter attacking from the left before his attempted cross sees Vinit getting a slight touch and giving a goal-kick. 

Chance for Pune!!!

Sahil Panwar's cross sees Hume almost putting the ball in at the back of the net. However, nothing is going in their way today as Delhi win the ball again before Davila is brought down by Marcelinho. Marcelinho is booked. 

Substitution for Pune -

Shankar Sampingraj comes on for Nim Dorjee. 

Rana Gharami comes out as Mohammed Dhot comes on to the field.

Meanwhile, Vinit is brought down by Rohit as Delhi gets a freekick. Delhi go on the attack with Chhangte whose shot is right into Kamaljeet's hands.

Davila almost scores!!!

From the throw, Rene puts in a delicious through ball for Davila who targets the far post and puts in his laces. The ball rattles the upright before Pune clear it.

Delhi take a short corner this time as Davila cuts in and takes a grounded shot at the near post only for Kamaljeet to fist it out for another corner. However, this time Delhi clear it out for a throw. 

From the resulting corner, Delhi see no man contesting for the header but Gianni keeps it in. He tries to curl one at the far post but the ball is headed out for a corner again. 

Marcelinho looks dangerous on the left flank as he tries to twist and turn his way inside the box before Rana intercepts and Chhangte clears it for a throw-in. Delhi win the ball from the throw instantly with Chhangte running up top and winning a corner for the team.

Robin Singh plays a dangerous through ball for Panwar but the full-back is not interested in making a run. The forward is not happy. 

Rene plays a through ball on the left. Chhangte, who has a lot of space, run up. He puts in a cross for Daniel but the striker takes a touch too many and eventually gives away the ball.

Pune players have already given up hope as it is evident from Sahil's ball that lacked any sort of target there and Delhi clear it easily. 

Daniel has dealt with Pune's physicality well at the back troubling most of the defenders in the 50-50 headers. More than anything, this hasn't helped Pune to settle down. 

Rene Mihelic comes on as Adria Carmona makes way. No. 11 was magnificent today but he was also on a yellow card. 

Pune are seen committing as many as five players in the attacking third. This leaves their flanks seriously vulnerable. Chhangte makes a dangerous run on the right and while Pune survive this attack, they might be in for more humiliation. 

Delhi create almost another easy goal as Carmona and Davila split open Pune's defence without passing. However, Davila's through ball for Daniel is overweighed. 

Rene is seen warming up at the sidelines and that could be a brilliant option for Delhi as the player is more than capable of controlling the game. 

Marcelinho tries theatrics on the right flank here as he tries going past Narayan Das and dives to extract a penalty. However, the ref is not interested. 

Delhi do nothing from the freekick and allow Pune to keep exchanging passes at the back. Daniel is seen dropping down in the midfield to see more of the ball with no one pressing up top. 

Delhi are able to keep the ball in the attacking third more thanks to Pune's cheap fouling. Sahil Panwar was the latest one to concede another foul and Delhi are happy to take their time for the set-piece. 

Delhi don't show any intention of scoring from the freekick as they go all the way back to Francisco. 

Pune are pressing high as Delhi keep the ball on the fringes. They are happy to win the throws and fouls. Meanwhile, Daniel is brought down in the attacking third. Sarthak goes into the ref's books for that.

The camera shows to the stands where Aadil Khan and Ashique Kuruniyan discuss the latter's injury. Missing Stankovic and Aadil in the midfield has been the biggest loss for Pune this evening. 

Frustration is creeping in among the Pune players and it can be seen in their silly fouls. Martin brings down Carmona and gets a warning. 

GOAL FOR DELHI - DANIEL

A similar move by the midfield trio sees Gianni coming off and coordinating with Carmona well before the centre-half is released inside the box. He tries laying it of for Davila whose shot first-time is saved by Kamaljeet. However, Daniel finishes on the rebound. 

Despite Pune being a midfield-heavy team, the trio of Carmona, Davila and Vinit Rai have done well to control it. 

Pune need to make serious changes in their attack as most of their through balls are either intercepted or wasted by their forwards. Delhi have also attacked half-heartedly but they are in no urgency scoring a goal. 

Carmona and Davila keep the ball in the midfield looking for an opening. However, the move ends with Romeo trying to cut in and put in a cross as the ball goes for a throw for Pune. 

Gianni and Francisco try to keep the ball at the back as Pune press up. It is a risky move and they concede a throw in the defensive half. However, Delhi does well to win the ball before Martin Dias fouls Vinit to give away a freekick. 

Gharami fails to control a ball giving away a throw near the technical area. Pune try to keep it well against Delhi's pressure but Hume wants a foul as he tries to cover Vinit Rai. 

Pune has started more aggressively the second half as they make another run from the right through Panwar but the ball is out for a goal-kick from his cross. 

Pune start the second half here but they soon gave the possession away to Delhi. However, they get the ball from the throw as Hume makes a heroic run at the edge of the box before he cuts back in and puts in a through ball for Robin to tap in. The striker hits it right at the custodian. 

Half Time

This is what happens when players are asked to express themselves on the field without any concern about the results and points table. What a perfect example of football by two sides who had struggled to get goals early on in the season.
Pune haven't lost under Brown's management so far and while the game is definitely promising more goals, they run the risk of breaking the streak today.

Pune try to create another chance with Robin Singh trying to play a through ball to Iain Hume who was waiting inside the box but Delhi clears it. A frustrated Hume shoves off Narayan and gets a yellow card in the process. As Pune fail to make anything out of the freekick, the ref blows the whistle for half-time..

Delhi are happily keeping possession in the attacking third as Pune look to soak up the pressure in the last few minutes. 

Two minutes added in the first half...

From the resulting freekick, Marcelinho's cross is right into Fransisco's hands. However, while Pune have been wasteful, Delhi's attack has shown terrific confidence. They go up top before Carmona tries to play a cheeky lob for Daniel. It was not successful. 

Delhi are just trying to see off the half here as is reflected from Chhangte's ambitious effort from 25 yard out. However, Rana bringing down Hume in the defensive third is not going to help that much. 

Terrific save by Francisco!!!

Pune do well to retain the ball in the attacking third as a long ball at the far post sees Iain Hume heading it inside for Marcelinho. The winger cuts in looking to find an opening but the ball is half cleared outside the box for Rohit. Rohit takes a left-footed shot that is hit hard but Francisco is up for the task. 

Daniel is brought down near the box by two defenders but the ref says otherwise while Delhi players complain. However, the visitors have no problem winning the ball back instantly as Rana tries from distance and misses it horribly.  

From the resulting corner, Davila gets a short lay off near the right corner flag and although his ambitious effort sees the ball wide, it was terrific technique. 

Romeo has been nothing less than sensational for Delhi this evening. He gets a ball on the right flank again and his cross was getting inside the goal from the near flank. Kamaljeet realises it very late and collects it by conceding a corner. 

Bad news for Pune fans as their star player Ashique has to be taken off with a knee injury as Nim Dorjee Tamang takes his place. 

Pune get a throw from the attacking third as Sarthak gets in the ball from his characteristic long throw. However, Chhangte does well to bring it out and earn a freekick in the defensive half. 

Poojary might have been the scorer for Delhi but he has not done justice to Kamaljeet's long balls. This time, he fails to control the ball before Narayan Das wins a corner off him. 

Pune are very much aware of Delhi's gegginpressing. They keep the ball safely at the back not letting the scoring tempo get them to concede another.

Romeo is released from the right here. However, his left-footed cross is blocked by a Pune defender and the ball in the process goes for a throw-in. 

The game has got a much-needed breather as Ashique brings down Romeo and injures himself in the process. He needs medical attention.

GOAL FOR DELHI - ROMEO

This is the second time a goal has come from the right flank for Delhi. They go on a counter as Romeo gets the ball on the right. He goes up before attempting a cross inside the box for Daniel. However, the ball comes off Sahil and dips it at the far post over Kamaljeet. UNLUCKY!!!

From the corner, Pune again can't get a header as Ashique does well to keep it before earning another corner from an attempted cross. However, Pune waste their corner as the ball goes out for a goal-kick from a header. 

Marcelinho is in the form of his life at the moment as Delhi defenders struggle to check his incisive runs from the flanks. He comes in from the right this time before playing a through ball for Robin and winning a corner for Pune. 

Delhi have the luxury of facing a leaky defence in Pune here. Another cross from the left by Chhangte sees Pune unable to clear the ball. It falls for Daniel again who twists and turns Sahil before taking a left-footed shot again. However, Kamaljeet collects it easily. 

Pune get a corner on their left.  Marcelinho's ball is at the centre of the box and there is no one to touch it. Carmona picks it up and plays the long ball through for Chhangte but Kamaljeet is alive to the danger. 

Delhi almost get a dangerous chance at the edge of the box as the cross from the right sees Pune defenders failing to get a touch on the ball as it fell for Daniel. However, his left-footed shot falls in the hands of Kamaljeet. 

GOAL FOR PUNE - POOJARY

Pune on the counter through Poojary on the right and Delhi make the mistake of giving him enough space. Carmona doesn't close him down as he cuts inside with his left foot across a passive Narayan Das before his shot has settled at the back of the net at the near post. 

We are seeing quintessential attacking football here as both the sides are relentless. This could be an entertaining match. 

End to end stuff here. After Ashique wins the ball from Farncisco's long kick, laying it off for Marcelinho, the star winger went past Gianni like a breeze before his cross let him down. Delhi take the ball and Chhangte takes it to the attacking third before laying it for Carmona. Delhi wait for a perfect chance but Pune had already regrouped by then. 

That was unnecessary from Carmona who stuck out a leg even after Marcelinho had clearly got the ball past him. He needs to be careful now. He gets a yellow card for that. 

GOAL FOR DELHI - CHHANGTE

That was easy as Delhi go on a harmless counterattack from the right with Romeo having the ball at his feet. However, this time his cross is inch-perfect and Pune's defence is unaware of Chhangte making a run behind. That was an easy target. 

Pune, under Brown, have mostly focussed on going on counterattacks. We saw a similar move as Robin Singh playing a one-touch for Poojary but he is just off-side. 

Chhangte gets the ball in the attacking third and weaves his way through the Pune defence cutting in and out before his cross is blocked by Mills inside the box. The ball falls for Davila and his shot is blocked by Mills as well before Carmona's attempt is way off the target. 

From the resulting corner, Pune again fail to make anything out of the set-piece as Delhi try going up on a counter and failing in that attempt. 

Romeo has had a terrible game so far this evening. He tries coming in to the midfield from the right and consequently loses the ball to Ashique. Ashique runs before laying it off for Robin on the left. Robin's attempted cross is deflected for a corner. 

Delhi have been the dominant side in the first 10 minutes of the game with Carmona, Davila and Chhangte being a constant thorn for the Pune defence. The trio combines this time too but the move ended as Narayan decided to shoot from 35 yards out. The ball is high and wide. 

Delhi are not guarding their flanks well with Kamaljeet almost always picking up Ashique. The winger has some serious talent and could damage up top if given so much space. 

Almost a chance for Pune!!!

Robin Singh makes a good run behind Delhi's defence as Sahil's long ball finds him one on one with the goalie. However, the linesman has flagged him off-side. 

Delhi deal with Pune's freekick easily and go on the counter through Carmona who is drilling through the middle. He gives it to Daniel who lays it for Romeo to put in a cross. However, his cross is out behind the goal. 

From the resulting corner, Carmona does well again to take it on the left before shooting at the goal. However, the box is crowded and the ball goes upfield with Pune's clearance. It sees Vinit Rai getting a hand to it as Delhi concedes a hand-ball. 

Delhi with their counterattack push up as Carmona finds the ball in the attacking third. He does well to escape an adventurous Rohit Kumar in his away. Delhi keep the ball in and around Pune's box before Daniel's shot earns Delhi a corner.

A long kick by Kamaljeet on the left flank sees Ashique taking it down perfectly. However, his attempt to cut back sees him losing the ball quickly. However, Pune do well to get it back and go on the attack through Poojary on the right. However, his cross goes behind the goal. 

Pune get a corner from the counter and Marcelinho's left-footed cross swings inside the box. Mills muscles off his marker to put in ahead but it is wide enough to go for a throw-in.

Poojary shows urgency to get the ball high in the Delhi half but Delhi clear it away easily. The ball is passed to Chhangte on the left who cuts in and passes it to Daniel. But, he slips just in time and Pune clears. 

Delhi start with a short pass and they try to build an attack from the left through Narayan Das. He comes close to 30 yards and squares it off to Carmona who passes it to Davila at the edge of the box but his shot is high and wide. 

FC Pune City win the coin toss and they pick up a side. It will be Delhi to kick us off here this evening. 

The Pune and Delhi players are out in the middle. Now, it's time for the Indian National Anthem before the kickoff.

It will have no consequence on the playoffs still the two teams FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos FC will try to play a good game of football this Sunday evening.  Both the teams are out of the play-off race and will only play for pride in the 85th game of the Indian Super League today in Pune.

Marcelo is back for the home team and they will look forward to some good show by him in this game as Phill Brown’s sound will be taking on Delhi with an aim of a sensational show in front of their home crowd. Marko Stancovic might not be a part of the team as he pulled his hamstring in the previous game. The Pune team will also miss the services of Aadil Khan for the game as he is facing one-game suspension at the moment.

Delhi Dynamos enjoy a brilliant record against the Pune team as they have lost only once in the head to head battles against Pune and will want to continue with the brilliant run in today’s game as well. Davila and Chhangte will try and test the defensive unit of Pune while after a brace against BFC, Daniel will want to be in the starting XI for the team from the national capital in today’s game.
