Told you, I'd update the blog once they were finally released, didn't I?

So yes, Everton and Bournemouth also managed to get their deal sheets through in time which allowed them to sign Josh King and Shane Long respectively.

The Cherries have signed the Saints' forward on loan for the remainder of the season while Everton have signed King for a nominal fee until the end of 2020/21.

For all those wondering, Southampton did indeed manage to the get the deal sheet through on time and they have signed Takumi Minamino From Liverpool on loan.

It's been a decent day of transfers, hasn't it?

Not that it's over with Bournemouth, Southampton and Everton yet to confirm moves but since it's about to hit 06:00am IST, we're heading off. That is without knowing as to whether or not the Takumi Minamino, Josh King and Shane Long deals got through in time.

The transfer deadline day is over, barring a few moves, so here is a quick recap.

1) Liverpool signed two center backs; Ozan Kabak from Schalke on loan with an option to buy and Ben Davies from Preston North End on a permanent move. Also, they revealed that Joel Matip will miss the remainder of the season with an ankle injury..

2) Arsenal let Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Shkodran Mustafi leave the club to Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Schalke 04 respectively. While both Willock and Maitland-Niles are loan moves, Mustafi's move is a permanent one with the German's contract with the Gunners terminated by mutual consent before he left.

3) Fulham signed Josh Maja on loan.

4) Brighton signed Moises Caicedo from Independiente del Valle on a permanent move.

5) Josh King is set to sign for Everton on loan, with Shane Long signing for Bournemouth. (still waiting on both these moves to be confirmed)

6) Barcelona's Jean Clair-Todibo signed for OGC Nice on loan with an option to make it permanent.

7) Atalanta signed Viktor Kovalenko from Shakhtar on a permanent move.

8) Sami Khedira signed for Hertha Berlin on a two and a half-year contract.

9) DeAndre Yedlin terminated his contract with Newcastle United and signed for Galatasaray.

10) Felt weird ending on nine, so added an extra one for kicks. Still waiting for that King announcement and they're making us wait quite a while.

The BBC has reported that Southampton have submitted the deal sheet for Takumi Minamino's move to St Mary's before the transfer deadline passed.

Arsenal, and Schalke 04, have confirmed that Shkodran Mustafi has signed for the Royal Blues until the end of the season. The statement released by Schalke revealed that details of the move will not be released, so we have no clue.

After a whole day of reports and rumours, Liverpool have finally signed their Plan B in the form of Schalke 04's Ozan Kabak. The Reds have an option to buy Kabak at the end of the season and will pay a £1m loan fee now with a potential for a £500,000 bonus based on games played and Champions League performances.

The option for a permanent move is at £18m, plus add-ons, and does not need to be activated until June.

Watford have confirmed that they have signed Mitchel Bergkamp, son of Arsenal and Ajax legend Dennis Bergkamp. The attacker was a free agent after he left Almere City last summer and joins Mauricio Pochettino's son Maurizio Pochettino, who signed for the club a few days ago, from Tottenham.

Breaking:

Bournemouth have verbally agreed a deal with both Everton AND Fulham for striker JOSHUA KING.

The 29 year old, who is out of contract in the summer has been linked with a host of clubs.

Both deals are structured differently hence the complications at this late stage.

More from The Athletic, as they have revealed that Everton and Preston North End have come to an agreement over a loan deal for youngster Anthony Gordon. The highly-rated 19-year-old has made only seven first appearances for the Toffees this season but the move is taking place to open up space for Josh King.

That is alongside the Cenk Tosun deal with the forward signing for Besiktas earlier today on loan.

The Athletic have reported that Southampton are looking into an 11th hour move for Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino. The 26-year-old has made only six Premier League appearances for the Reds so far this season and the Athletic's David Ornstein believes the move is on the cards.

Well, two hours, or thereabouts, are left in the 2021 winter transfer window and it has been like no other window so far. So, here's a recap.

1) Liverpool have signed Ben Davies from Preston North End and they're closing in on a move for Schalke's Ozan Kabak.

2) That could see Shkodran Mustafi leave for the Bundesliga side as a potential replacement and he isn't the only Arsenal outgoing.

2.1) The Gunners are also letting Joe Willock sign for Newcastle, Ainsley Maitland-Niles sign for West Bromwich Albion and Zech Medley sign for Kilmarnock. All three deals are loan moves with no obligation or option to buy.

3) Brighton have signed midfielder Moises Caicedo from Independiente del Valle.

4) Atalanta have signed Shakhtar midfielder Viktor Kovalenko on a permanent move.

5) Josh King is potentially on his way to either Fulham or Everton. Read two entries below for more details on that.

6) Sami Khedira has signed for Hertha BSC on a permanent contract with Hertha until 2023.

7) Anthony Modeste has signed for Saint-Etienne.

8) Dele Alli to Paris Saint-Germain is off.

The Guardian are reporting that Bournemouth have accepted deals from Fulham and Everton for Josh King with the ball literally in his court now. The Cherries were stubborn not to lose the Norweigan after a £25 million bid from Manchester United last year, and then a £13 million bid from West Ham over the summer window. But contract issues, and the fact that he has six months left, have seen the club change their mind.

After days, months and decades of transfer rumours.....oh, it was less than a week?? Ahh well, anywhoo, Liverpool have confirmed that they have signed Preston North End's Ben Davies. The fee is £500,000 upfront with £1.1m and a 20% sell-on on profit.

Davies attracted interest from Celtic, Burnley, Sheffield United and Bournemouth before Liverpool stepped in and made their move. Also part of the deal, 19-year-old Sepp van den Berg has signed for Preston on loan for the remainder of the current season.

Northern Ireland striker, and the man of that iconic song, Will Grigg is on MK Dons' radar which also happens to be his former club. The Sunderland forward spent a year with the League One side before he signed for Wigan Athletic.

Stoke City have confirmed that 32-year-old striker Lee Gregory has signed for Derby County on loan for the remainder of the season.

The forward signed for the Potters from Millwall in the summer of 2019 but has made only nine first-team appearances this season with one goal.

Ipswich Town have confirmed that they have signed Wolves defender Luke Matheson on loan with the 18-year-old set to spend the remainder of the season with the club. The former Rochdale man hasn't played as of yet for his parent club, having signed for them last year before spending the rest of the season at Rochdale.

The BBC have reported that Everton's Anthony Gordon could be on the move with Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers, both in the Championship, interested in signing him. But the Toffees are waiting to see whether they can sign Josh King from Bournemouth before they let the youngster leave.

Stade Brestois have announced that they have signed Paris Saint-Germain's Bandiougou Fadiga on loan although there is an option to make it permanent at the end of the season. The Guardian has reported that there is no agreement as of yet between Championship side Bournemouth and Fulham over a potential move for the Josh King. The Cottagers are considering a new striker and have been linked with a move for Bordeaux's Josh Maja as well.

After his loan move to a West Brom team managed by an old school bore, we can presumably expect Ainsley Maitland-Niles to go on to become a breakout star for Bayern Munich and Germany.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Phil Jones will be added to the club's Premier League squad for the second half of the season. The defender wasn't picked as part of United's initial 25 man squad with him recovering from a knee injury but will be included for the second half of the season.

"Phil has been recovering from a knee injury. He will be included on the list and hopefully he'll get his fitness back sooner rather than later and be available to play," Solskjaer said.
