Sourav Kothari booked a place in the final of the IBSF World Billiards Championship with a 1250-816 win over Dhwaj Haria in the semi-final. Kothari knocked out tournament favorite Pankaj Advani in the quarter-finals to set up the clash with Indian Dhvaj Haria in the semis.

Sourav started the game with a flourish, posting a century break early on to take a lead of 360 against 10 in a total of seven visits.

After the blistering start, Sourav slowed down, picking points on regular intervals to keep his lead intact. Dhwaj struggled to get close enough to the National Champion throughout the game as the lead kept on increasing constantly.

Dhwaj struggled to convert any of his starts into big breaks, but he did manage to get a break of 151 points to put some pressure on Kothari. However, Sourav responded with a 228 points break of his own to double his lead.

Sourav could have won the game easily as he led 1200 against 595 at one point, but he missed a shot and had to wait a while to score the last 50 points needed to complete the victory. Dhwaj fought back with a break of 221 but it turned out to be in vain as Kothari finished him off easily at the end.
